Ms. Corinne Marie Pouliquen provides strategic business and legal advice to individuals, domestic and foreign corporate clients, start-up companies and universities, in connection with the development, management, protection and worldwide commercial exploitation of their intellectual property assets. Her practice concentrates on patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret and unfair competition law, with a focus on intersecting business, intellectual property, licensing and litigation matters.
As a Registered Patent Attorney, Ms. Pouliquen has more than 20 years of corporate and law firm patent prosecution experience in the chemical, biotechnology and mechanical arts, as well as in more traditional transactional practices of writing legal opinions, and negotiating/drafting license agreements. She worked in-house as IP Counsel for a veterinary pharmaceutical company, and as Patent Counsel for a biotechnology company. Ms. Pouliquen is also an author and frequent lecturer on various topics in intellectual property law, particularly the interplay between patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets.
Prior to entering the legal profession, Ms. Pouliquen worked in scientific research both as a Veterinary Research Assistant and as an Analytical Chemist. She is admitted to practice in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia, and is also registered to practice before the U. S. Patent & Trademark Office. Ms. Pouliquen received her J.D. from the Franklin Pierce Law Center, and her B.S. from the University of Maryland. Ms. Pouliquen is fluent in French and has a working knowledge of German.
